Courses and tees - the data under your event
Every event is built on a course card: par, yardage, and stroke index per hole, with rating and slope per tee. This page is where that data comes from and how to change it.
Picking the course and tees
The wizard's course dropdown is the shared library. Pick the course, then the tee panel: one tee is the scorecard tee (the card everyone scores on), and the "in play" checkboxes decide which other tees players may choose for their handicap math.
A missing course
If your course is not in the dropdown, email us - we usually load it the same day with the full card. You can also build the card yourself: create the event on any course, then use the event's own course editor to type the real holes.
Fixing a card
Two levels, on purpose:
- The event course editor (control room → Course, before play starts) edits YOUR event's copy - par, stroke index, yardage, tees. It never touches the shared library.
- Spot a wrong number in the library itself? Email us; library corrections are checked by hand.
The snapshot
At creation, your event freezes the chosen course card into itself. A later re-rating or correction never rewrites a finished event's results - the board reads the frozen card forever. "Refresh from library" in the course editor is the deliberate way to pull new data in during setup.
Per-player tees
When more than one tee is in play, each player picks theirs - from the join page, or later at the event's tee page. The tee changes only their handicap math; everyone scores on the same card. Mixed men's/women's/senior tees in one fair event is the point.
Nine-hole rounds
A round can play the front nine, the back nine, or all 18 - set per round on the rounds manager. On a nine, hole numbers stay real (back nine reads 10-18), stroke indexes re-rank within the nine, and handicaps halve, so a weekday league night scores fairly.
If it does not work
- The wizard shows the club but the wrong tee set - pick the closest and correct the card in the event course editor.
- A player's handicap looks wrong - check their tee first; rating and slope drive the course handicap.

Every event has a TV board: a fullscreen leaderboard made to be read from across a room. It needs no login and no app - it is a web page, so anything with a browser and an HDMI port can show it.
A league season is one ScrambleBoard event. The weeks are its rounds, the QR code on the clubhouse wall works every week, and the board grows a Season tab that totals weekly points. Players who join in week 4 scan the same code the week-1 crowd did.
