Groups: save a player list once, reuse it every event

If you run events for the same crowd — a league night, a member roster, the annual buddies trip — build the list once as a group. Every future event starts from it instead of from a blank paste box.

Create a group

Head to Groups & roster in the organizer console and create one. Members can be pasted ("Name, 12.4" per line, handicaps optional) or imported from a CSV — including a GHIN club-roster export, which brings First/Last name, Handicap Index, and email along.

Group imports match by name, so re-importing a fresh GHIN export updates the list without duplicating anyone.

Pull a group into an event

On the event's share page, choose the group and pull it in. Only people not already on the roster are added: for stroke play and Stableford they arrive as individual entries with their handicaps attached; for team formats the names drop into the paste box so you can arrange the teams.

Save an event roster back

After an event, save its roster into a group (new or existing — merged by name). Run the same outing next year, and the field is one click away.

Frequently asked questions

Do paid marks carry into a group?

No — paid status is per-event, never a group attribute. The group keeps names, handicaps, and emails; each event tracks its own payments.

Can a player be in more than one group?

Yes. Groups are just saved lists — your Saturday crew and your member-guest field can overlap freely.
