Guides Using ScrambleBoard

Keep a league or cup's history in one place

Using ScrambleBoard 3 min read

A club championship, a member-guest (members each bring a guest as a partner) or a buddies' cup comes back every year. A series holds every year of it in one place: who won, who keeps finishing near the top, and the names from before you used ScrambleBoard. It also starts next year's event from this year's setup.

What a series is

A series is a name above your events, such as "Cedar Bluff Club Championship". Each year (or each league season) is one edition, and an edition holds one event or several (a cup played as one event per day). The standings are not stored: the series page reads them from the finished events, so a corrected score corrects the history too.

Make a series and add your events

Go to My leagues and follow the series & history link to Leagues & cups. Type the name and press Create. On the series page, under Add an event, pick an event and type its edition (for example 2026), then press Attach. You can also attach from the event itself: the Overview has Add this event to a league or cup's history once you have a series. Attach past years too, so the history starts full.

A series page - start the next season, then career records across every finished edition

Career records

The series page counts, for each player or team, the seasons played, the wins, the top-three finishes and the best round (the lowest score). It reads only finished editions, so a season in play counts once you finalize it.

Past champions from before ScrambleBoard

Most clubs have a board of names that goes back years. Open Import past winners on the series page and type or paste one line per year: year, event, winners, score. Put a winner name that has a comma in quotes, for example "Alvarez, M & Chen, R". You can also upload a CSV file. Each finished edition on the page adds itself to the list, so you type the old years only once.

Print champions board prints every year's winner on one sheet for the clubhouse wall. Print plaque card prints one year's champion on a card sized for a trophy or a frame. Pick the year at the top. Both print black on white.

Start next year's event

At the top of the series page, type the new edition and press Start it with the same players or Start it with an empty roster. ScrambleBoard copies the latest edition's setup (the course, the format, the weeks of a league, the challenges) into a new event that is already part of the series. With the same players, the roster comes along with handicaps and tees. Nobody is checked in, and every player gets a new QR code.

Frequently asked questions

Does a series cost extra?

No. The series itself costs nothing. A new event you start from it is billed like any other event, or covered by your plan.

Can one edition hold more than one event?

Yes. A cup played as one event per day attaches each day to the same edition, and the series adds them together.

What if I remove an event from a series?

The event stays exactly as it was. It only leaves the series history. Removing a whole series also leaves its events untouched.

Run your event without paper Players scan a code, claim their name, and score on their phones. The leaderboard updates on every phone and the clubhouse TV. No app to install.

Run a weekly golf league on one QR code

A league season is one ScrambleBoard event. Each week is a round, and the QR code on the clubhouse wall works every week. The board gets a Season tab that adds up weekly points.

02
Archive or delete an event

When an event is over, you can do two things. Archive it to take it off your events list and keep every score readable. Delete it when you want it gone for good. These are separate on purpose: archiving does not delete anything.

Good golf prizes keep every player trying on every hole. The trick is not to spend more, but to spread the chances to win, so the weakest player has as much reason to try as the club champion.
